Independent Means Boring Paperwork and Better Answers
An independent workshop buys heads and shafts the same way you would buy tyres: at cost, from whoever supplies them, with no side agreement about how many must move each quarter. It is duller commercially than being a brand showroom and it is the whole reason customers drive out here.
The practical result is that a session can honestly end with “keep the irons you own, bend four of them, and put the money into wedges.” No spreadsheet anywhere gets upset about that.
It also means we stock demo heads that are two and three seasons old alongside current models. Last year's head with the right shaft and the right lie beats this year's head built wrong, and the bay does not care which one has the newer paint.

A fitting cart with one shaft per brand is a display, not a cart. We keep multiple weights and profiles per family so a change can be isolated to one variable at a time.

The Part That Wears Out Fastest and Gets Replaced Last
Grips are the cheapest genuine performance item in the bag and the one most people neglect longest. In this climate a set played twice a week will be past its useful life inside a year, and hardened rubber quietly pushes golfers into gripping tighter than they should.
We stock cord, rubber, hybrid and oversized options in several core sizes and build up with tape wraps to whatever your hand measurement calls for. Sizing is done with a caliper and your glove hand, not by eye.
Full-set regrips are the single most common job on the service bench and are usually finished the same day if the bag is in before lunch.

Putter demo heads are available on the roll mat during any putter bench session. Custom orders on premium models run four to eight weeks depending on the maker, and we will quote the real date rather than an optimistic one.
We Are Slow to Get Excited, Deliberately
New models arrive here a few weeks after launch, once we have run them through our own heads-and-shafts testing rather than a launch presentation. Occasionally a release genuinely moves the needle for a particular kind of golfer. Most seasons, the biggest gains available to our customers are still sitting in loft, lie, length and grip condition.
