Every fitter in this shop started on the service side, doing regrips and extractions, before they were allowed near a bay session. It is a slow way to build a team and it is the only way we have found that produces fitters who understand what they are asking the bench to do.
If you have workshop hands and no golf background, that is not a disqualification here. Two of the five came in that way.

Most customers do not request and it makes very little difference to the outcome — the process is the same in every bay, and the card is the card regardless of who wrote it.
Where it does matter is continuity. If you have been in before, we will try to put you back with the same person, simply because they will remember the conversation faster than they can read the file.
Saturday mornings the whole team is in and the shop is loud. Weekday afternoons are quieter if you would rather take your time.
